Introduction of a new solution for stationary sellers
Notebook Love has transformed from being a regular retail site dedicated to quality paper notebooks to something even bigger and better: it has now opened its doors to welcome other producers of notebooks, diaries, sketchbooks, journals, planners and organisers (Stationery Matters, 15 Oct 2020: Notebook Love introduces a new solution for stationery sellers)
The New Notebook Marketplace
Now all producers, artisans and designers can have greater visibility by listing their products on the new notebook marketplace in time for the Christmas rush and beyond.
The Rise of Marketplaces
According to Entrepreneur Magazine, one-third of buyers start their online journey from online marketplaces rather than individual websites. Sales on online marketplaces account for 52% of global online retail sales. And not only customers but also suppliers now prefer to use online marketplaces. That’s where Notebook Love comes in.
What The Founders Say
Notebook Love was founded in 2016 by Glasgow-based business couple Consol and Kate Efomi and they are excited to see how stationery sellers are finding their new platform.
"Sellers in the UK are already joining up, listing their products and receiving orders very quickly and consistently," says Consol Efomi. “Notebook Love has done all the heavy-lifting making it easier for producers to concentrate on what they do best: producing beautiful notebooks.”
The easy-to-use site allows sellers to list their products quickly and easily while the platform puts those notebooks in front of serious buyers – the notebook lovers out there.
"It's wonderful to partner with such passionate producers of such gorgeous notebooks and diaries," says Kate Efomi. "There really is a deep passion for stationery out there. There's just something special about the feel and even the smell of a new notebook and our sellers and customers really get that. We all seem to share that slightly bonkers love for a good notebook or diary.”
“At Notebook Love, we are joining forces with the bigger players and the kitchen table sellers alike,” Kate continues. “We want to allow everyone to be equally visible. We’re a bit like Not On The Highstreet or Etsy but we’re dedicated solely to notebooks and diaries which is a really strong niche. But we’re not as big as the more general marketplaces so that gives us the personal touch which our sellers and customers really value.”
What Sellers Say
Paula Weaver creates beautiful fabric-covered notebooks and diaries under her Little Bun Design UK label. She says, "I find Notebook Love an immensely fun and friendly selling platform. It's very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Their social media presence is also tip-top. I am thoroughly impressed."
And Write On It have a broad range of products on the site, including their hugely popular left-handed notebooks and personalised family recipe books. “We are delighted to be part of
Notebook Love. It’s a great site for notebook fans," says Sara Jaconelli of Write On It. "We’ve tried a few online marketplaces since we started trading in 2015 and with the support of team Notebook Love this site is the most successful.”
Why Choose Notebook Love
“The Notebook Love Marketplace is a way of helping designers and producers big and small.” says Consol, “Having your own website and gaining visibility and sales online can be difficult, expensive and time-consuming. The smaller sellers, especially, can often get drowned out. It can be easier to concentrate on wholesale while the huge opportunities for individual sales are often missed. Sellers need a fast, fully functioning e-commerce site and that’s what we offer at Notebook Love. The appetite and the customers are definitely out there and they are certainly visiting and buying. We saw a particular surge in sales over lockdown - especially in recipes notebooks and sketchbooks, interestingly - and that enthusiasm for buying notebooks in general online has continued to grow. We’re excited for Q4 and 2021.”
Notebook Love’s new ad has recently launched online. More sellers are already signing up in time to catch the Christmas sales and the platform is looking forward to welcoming more sellers over the coming weeks.
